The Hoohobbers Moses basket made from sophisticated, designer fabrics. Great care is taken to create linens of the highest quality including doubled ruffles and ties plus detail piping. The unique, duvet style bumpers open to remove bumper padding for laundering. This allows the bumpers to always retain their crisp, original shape. The basket includes bumpers, sheet and a full size flannel-lined receiving blanket. Machine washable.

I wanted one of these Hoohobbers Moses Baskets for my first baby, but just couldn't bring myself to spend $140 for it. We only spent about $200 for the crib! My first daughter is now almost two years old, and ever since I got pregnant with our second, I've drooled online for one of these. I obsessed. So naturally, eventually I completely splurged and bought it. The newborn isn't here yet, but I can tell you that the quality is excellent. I bought a Tadpoles Moses Basket for a friend who had a baby - it cost about $60 - and while it was a very nice gift, the quality seemed so much cheaper than this one.The basket is woven more tightly than the Tadpoles. The fabric is a nice, soft, sturdy cotton. The Tadpoles had a cheaper looking fleece type of fabric, the type that pills up after a few washes and the colors were a bit tacky. The ruffles and little blanket that come with this Hoohobbers basket are adorable.My 21 month old loves to climb into the basket and pretend she is sleeping. She doesn't fit my any stretch, but curls up her legs and says, "Baby, baby, sleep."In general, if you are on a tight budget, I don't think a moses basket is a good purchase because they are only useful for a few months. Based on all my obsessing, researching, and shopping, they are generally pretty expensive (except for the cheap Badger Baskets at Walmart, but many reviewers complain about very poor quality on those). However, if you get a bonus at work or have relatives who like to buy expensive gifts, then definitely splurge on the Hoohobbers. Its simply adorable and so much better than the next level down in price and quality!

Was debating whether or not I wanted to get this because of the price but after reading the previous review and reading the description and looking at a product video I decided to go ahead and get it. It was well worth the price because the quality of this is outstanding. My baby will be here soon so I can't review whether or not my baby will love sleeping in it but I can say that at least she will be comfortable.I love the fact that everything is removable and the linens are so well made that they can withstand wash after wash and still hold up and look great. The print is also very pretty. Thinking about ordering replacement linens as well so if one is in the wash I'll have another available. Its also very lightweight. It does state not to lift with baby in basket so that should make the basket have a bit more longevity.I'd definitely recommend getting this for your baby.February 22, 2012Update: My baby loves sleeping in this. She's almost a month old and was 18" at birth and hasn't slept anywhere else. I've tried her crib but she hates it in there. This is placed next to my bed and it makes it more accessible for me at night since she's exclusively breastfed. I don't need to swaddle her in this because the sides are close (but not too close) when she moves her arms she doesn't startle herself as much as when she's in the big open crib. She sleeps on her back which is recommended and would sleep for close to 2-3 hours at a time while in here.My 5 star rating hasn't changed at all. Still a recommended buy.

The basket is beautiful and very well made. I bought it as a gift for my new granddaughter so the quality was very important to me. I read the reviews on Amazon for other Moses baskets and decided on Hoohobbers. It arrived on time and in perfect condition. It's a very pretty shade of green. My son and daughter-in-law didn't have a Moses basket for their first-born, but have loved using it this time for their daughter. It's very easy to move around their house, and is a great alternative to the pack 'n play and an infant seat.
