Let me say that I love this crib. It is exactly what I was looking for. It really resembles the Bloom Alma mini crib (I mean almost exactly) and is significantly less expensive. Having said that, when looking at a mini crib, make sure that it is what you really need. We needed a crib to fit in our room, as my older son has not yet out grown his crib. I really didn't have the space for a standard crib in my room. Before doing some research, I had never heard of a "mini crib". I looked into bassinets, but they only last for a short time (3-4 months) and according to consumer reports are not held to the same strict standards that cribs must adhere to. I bought this crib with a 3 inch mattress "Dream on Me 3 Spring Coil portable crib Mattress". I originally was going to buy it with the mattress sold on the MDB website, but when reading further I realized that this crib is only compatible with a 3" mattress and can not accommodate a 5" mattress. I tried to contact the MDB family for verification (I am neurotic) but you can only contact through email exchanges. They did get back to me promptly, but only redirected me to information that I had already read. I am happy with the compatibility. The only other thing is when the crib was shipped it did not come with directions (eek). I hope this was just an oversight and not a common practice. My husband found a pdf file of the directions easily on the internet and assembly was fairly straightforward. It took us about 15 to 20 minutes to assemble. All in all it is perfect for our situation. I chose not to go with a mini convertible crib this time as I am sure I will want my boys' beds to match when I can put them in the same room, so for us this was the perfect crib. I hope that helps as I could not find one review of this crib anywhere. You will love it. Just make sure you like the size. I don't know if it will last as long as a standard crib will (for your child's growth), but if you need something stylish, sturdy, and safe for a small space go for it.

This crib has provided the flexibility and functionality we were looking for at a good price in a great style. This product is MDF and they say that it is safe for kiddos, but I will say that even 3 months later, it still has a slight chemical smell that bothers me (my husband does not notice it). If you purchase this crib, just make sure you air it out for a few months and I would wash it down with soap and water. Overall, we love it and it does take a standard portable crib mattress, which was a vast improvement over the Bloom crib. We did the 5" mattress and it's perfectly firm but comfortable. I just wish the smell would go away completely.

Love this crib - great quality for the price, fits a small nursery perfectly...wheels make it easy to roll into our bedroom when needed (when baby's sick, for example, and I want him closer to me). Ours had all the parts and instructions...must've been an oversight in packing for the previous reviewer. My 6-month old son loves it...not too big, but plenty of room to stretch out and move. This should be good for quite awhile...I'll get a real bed for him when he outgrows it. PS - get this mattress: [...]It is THE perfect fit for this crib, affordable, and works with the Garanimals STANDARD size cib sheets (after the first wash/dry on hot). Weird, but trust me. :) This is a good thing, because it's tough to find mini-crib sheets, especially affordable ones.Also - will be easy to fold this guy down and store it until we decide to have a second baby. Then it will work as both bassinet and crib...reducing the amount of 'stuff' to clutter up space.Bottom line, great buy.
